Our Academics

Pinnacle Curriculum is a research-based faith-based early childhood curriculum, designed with both teachers and students in mind. Pinnacle is based on the following beliefs about children, learning, and teaching: Each child is an individual. Because children grow, develop, and learn at different rates and in different ways, it is the teacher's goal to discover each child's special abilities through careful observation and interaction, developing an individualized education plan that guides them to their full potential.

WHY WE CHOSE PINNACLE CURRICULUM

  • Based on the works of Piaget, Gardner, and Erikson
  • Bible Focused Curriculum with daily activities to enrich each child’s knowledge and love for God.
  • Developmentally appropriate activities that adhere to the early childhood education industry standards.

  • Carefully selected themes that capture children’s interest.
  • Long-range goals linked to Key Standards.
  • Provides suggestions to enrich childhood developmental milestones based on research.
  • Interactive activities help children develop a love for learning while they are growing, playing, and having fun.

OUR PROGRAMS

At PromiseLand we offer STEAM, Spanish and Harmony Road Music Programs, Library and Computer Lab in addition to Pinnacle Curriculum.  These additional programs allow our students to leave their classrooms and experience these classes throughout our building.  Toddlers - Prek 4 attend these classes weekly. Infants & Toddlers will enjoy many of these experiences in their classroom.

STEAM

What does STEAM stand For:

STEAM stands for 'Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math

What does STEAM look like in infant and toddler development?

Infants and toddlers are young scientists conducting research to find out how the world works. They are curious to figure things out, like whether they will get the same result when they drop a toy—and have you pick it up—over and over. Infants and toddlers understand concepts, such as to cause and effect, that help them build sophisticated reasoning skills and conceptual knowledge

(National Research Council 2000; USDHHS 2015; Bucher & Hernández 2016).

As a part of our preschool program, we offer STEM. STEM studies focus on using skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. During the preschool years, STEM investigations are designed to spark a child's interest in discovery, learning, and using the scientific method to answer questions.
